Table Tennis Tables
Table tennis is a sport in which two or four players hit a small, hollow lightweight ball back and forth over a low set net using table tennis rackets. The game is played on hard, large table called Table Tennis Table which is usually divided into half by the low lying net. The main idea of playing the game is that each player must allow the ball played to his court only one bounce before returning it to the opponent. Table tennis is also called ping pong.
Table tennis tables come in different designs to suit the different players and the different environments in which they play. Indoor tables are designed to be used only in enclosed places away from the adverse effects of the weather. This is because they are made of materials that can be easily destroyed by natural elements like water, and direct sunlight. Outdoor tables can be used both in enclosed places as well as outdoors. This is because they are made of materials that can withstand the adverse effects of weather.
There are also table tennis tables designed for use by kids. One common characteristic of all table tennis tables is that they must be hard to give the ball a good bounce. They also come accompanied with other accessories that go with them. These include table covers, the net and the posts to link the net to the table.
